Since taking over as the second-generation leader of WEISUN and serving as General Manager for over 10 years, Chen Wen-Han has transformed the company's  subcontracting model. He successfully entered the semiconductor sector and became a part of TSMC's  supply chain, driving substantial revenue and profit growth. After winning the "Potential Enterprise Award in Innovation and R&D" at the inaugural New Taipei City Enterprise Classic Award in 2022, WEISUN recently secured the "Outstanding Potential Enterprise in Generation Heritage Category" award at the second ceremony.

The New Taipei City Enterprise Classic Award evaluates companies on four key criteria: innovation, global vision, sustainable development, and commitment to New Taipei. WEISUN was recognized for its remarkable innovation capabilities and solid development strategies, particularly for its advancements in drying process technology in the electronics industry, receiving high praise from the expert panel.

Chen Wen-Han shared that after working for the company for eight years, he officially took over leadership in 2014, leading a transformation and upgrade. In the past, WEISUN produced ovens for large drying companies, already achieving dust-free and oxygen-free environments. However, he was not content with this and pushed for the development of fully automated equipment, reaching semiconductor-grade standards by 2017.

Chen Wen-Han explained that his father, Chen Chi-Jei, who is also the Chairman of WEISUN, is a traditional manufacturer but makes decisions swiftly, often with a sense of urgency. In contrast, Wen-Han prefers to think "one or two steps ahead," focusing on long-term planning. After thoroughly reviewing the company's strengths and weaknesses, he decided to build the brand, enhance value-added products, and boost the company's competitiveness.

Although the transformation process led to some clashes in ideas between Chen Wen-Han, his father, veteran staff, and suppliers, patient communication and adjustments ultimately helped the company achieve its transformation goals. Today, WEISUN has entered new industry sectors, doubled its revenue and workforce, and continues to expand its production capacity. The company also plans to invest billions of dollars in new facilities, with full support from Wen-Han's father.

In this era of "carbon pricing," Chen Wen-Han recognizes that the introduction of carbon fees will impact business costs, especially for WEISUN's  major clients. As an equipment supplier, he has been actively exploring ways to reduce the carbon emissions of WEISUN's products, focusing on energy-efficient, carbon-reducing equipment designs. He understands that future competition will not only be about price and performance but also about leading in carbon footprint reduction. Chen Wen-Han is determined to make WEISUN a benchmark enterprise in the ESG field, stating, "In the future, we will be number one!"
